Allows new aftermarket stereo to be installed in factory location Fits Double DIN stereos with a maximum screen size/faceplate opening is 3 13/16″ x 6 13/16″ (96.8mm x 173mm) Precision designed for a gapless fit between the dash and the Dash Kit Color and Texture matches the factory dash Easy to install. No special tools are required. Includes step-by-step instructions Bought this for a 2002 Mazda B3000 (ford ranger). My install was a very simple factory double din to new Kenwood mechless single din stereo, at least it should have been. The one size fits all approach didnât in this case. No piece of this except for the pocket to take up the space of the double din worked without some serious measuring, cutting, grinding, and sanding. Sides had to be ground just to get the unit installed without the metal tray. No side plate holes matched anything to the radio, so measured and drilled. Luckily the radio bezel covered the areas that had to be modified. I wanted the stereo installed so I spent several hours modifying it to work and look presentable. See pictures. In the end it worked, but I would not recommend this at all, nothing about it is plug n play. At least itâs cheap! My install was for a 2007 Mercury Milan (Ford Fusion clone). Not a natural fit. After visiting Best Buy the technician reccomended the Metra install which was a better match. He said I would never even try the kit under this review not easy. The Metra kit has step by step instructions and was easier. So I over over paid for the Metra but it paid off. However the Scosche kit had better hardware than the Metra which only included some cheap screws to mount the kit on the head unit. So I wound up using the Metra kit and the hardware from the Scosche. The Metra kit does not allow one to use the factory screws to mount the unit but Scosche included the longer screws. I recommend the Metra kit however you may need to aquire the necessary hardware from a local store. It fits my 04 Expedition perfectly. It looks nice, seems very sturdy. The reason for 4 stars youâll see in the pictures. One tab was melted. First shows what it should look like and second shows the defect. I would have returned it but I had already trimmed the other side. The package was opened when I received it but I was checking that all pieces were accounted for and didnât inspect them… my bad. BUT, I made it work and have no issues with anything other than that. Would I buy it again? Yes. Bought for an 06 ranger i did enjoy how the bolts holes lined up unlike the Metra kit I purchased earlier. What I didn’t enjoy is on a ranger it leaves almost a 1/4 inch gap at the top and bottom of the radio. Came with pieces that were supposed to be Left/Right but were both just Right/Right, had to break off some plastic from my radio dash to get it to work, and loosely holds my radio in place for my ’99 Ford Ranger. Overall, I got it to work but the radio I bought was tricky to fit in the first place and this kit just made things worse. The single din radio and multi-kit setup I had before was not this difficult and I didn’t have to cut anything. I have installed many radios in many different makes and models and this is BY FAR the worst dash kit I have EVER used. Didnât fit without modifying and cutting the factory bezel, didnât come with the proper screws to fasten the radio to the actual kit, I donât remember any radios Iâve installed ever coming with screws, usually the dash kit comes with all necessary screws. These one kit fits 4000 vehicles, all in one packages are garbage. Highly recommend against this kit. I was installing this on a 2002 Ford Ranger and it took me way longer than it needed to, and I had to make a trip to Loweâs to buy the proper screws. I have been using Scosche brand adapter kits for years now. This had everything I needed, mostly anyway. The instructions are there, but ehh… picture diagrams could use some work. This comes with screws, however none were to screw the radio into the adapter itself. Thankfully the left overs from the factory radio got the job done. The gap between the adapter and vehicles opening could be better, but I have seen far worse. Overall good product and gets the job done well. It fit great and is very sturdy, but i mightâve used the wrong peice when putting it together, so thereâs a small section at the bottom that shows the inside of the dash. there was another face plate i couldâve put in there that wouldâve fit better, but thatâs on me. But it fits really well in my 2008 Ford Explorer!Wireless Stereo Foldable Headphones Wireless and Wired Headsets with Built-in Mic Black Red FM for iPhone Samsung iPad PC Micro SD TF PowerLocus Bluetooth Over-Ear Headphones. great for navigation, calls and face id.
