Connects to the factory stereo harnesses when installing an aftermarket stereo Not compatible with factory amplified systems Direct Connection to the factory harness without cutting any wires Manufactured with factory quality wire and Connector / Wire Harness for Aftermarket Stereo Installation with Color Coded Wires EIA industry standard color coded wires for an easier installation This does not fit a 1998 toyota camry. My factory wiring only had one wire harness plug. This comes with 2. Neither one fits. If one did fit, it wouldn’t work because the second plug controls power and speakers. What’s up Scosche?EDIT!!!!! This does fit. My car had a work around for a single DIN radio which was all spliced neatly into one plug from factory. Others having the same trouble may have the same solution. Just find the 2 plugs that look like they shouldn’t be disconnected and connect your new harness plugs into them. Tuck the original sing wire plug out of the way. Don’t worry, the original single plug is dead from being disconnected. Ordered so I could replace the factory radio in my Vibe – did the whole “Check the Fit” thing where you enter your vehicle info, and was assured that this was the correct harness. It isNOT the correct harness – neither of the modular plugs that were attached to the factory radio came close to fitting either of the two plugs in this kit.I read the Amazon Q & A; multiple answers confirmed that this was the correct harness, and that I should call Scosche customer service. Called customer service, and the guy there was absolutely no help whatsoever and had no idea what I was talking about. Another good Scosche product. Here’s the breakdown:Pros:Works great. I’ve had it installed for about 6 months now and have had no problems.Fairly easy to put togetherCons:Instructions weren’t super clearWire colors didn’t match up exactly to colors on head unit, but that’s pretty common. Some research in the head unit manual solved that problemBottom Line: Great wiring harness to hook up your aftermarket head unit to your car. Just be aware that if you haven’t done this before, wire colors are typically not all exactly uniform. If it’s close, then that’s probably the right one, but you may end up with a few stray wires on both ends that leave you scratching your head. Some quick research about your head unit will tell you what each wire does, and then you will have no problem connecting it to the appropriate wire on the wiring harness. Does not work with 2012 FJ Cruiser without JBL system. The harness itself fits but the pins are in all the wrong places. What’s even worse is that the crimps for the wire connectors (that come with the harness) are faulty – if the wire moves even a little the speaker sound will go in and out. I moved the pins to the correct places for my car and only 1 out of 6 speakers worked because of bad Scosche wiring. And the single speaker that worked cut in and out. Removed this harness and directly wired in the head unit and everything is working correctly. Proves that this product is faulty. 2001 Toyota Tundra… It was nice to sit down at a table and do ALL the necessary wiring, with solder & shrink tube, creating a compact wiring harness. The old & busted (aftermarket) unit came out with it’s electrical taped knot of confusion and the new unit just plugged right into the OEM connectors, sweet. Well worth the investment for time savings alone, the cleanliness of the wiring harness is a bonus. This kit let me pre-wire my daughter’s new stereo for her ’06 Prius with ease, sitting inside in the AC.Made installing it a snap. Easy to follow wiring code. I showed her how to solder and shrink wrap the solder joints.Highly recommended. I ordered a metra dash kit that included a harness with amp integration prior to this. I do not know what “amp” integration its talking about, or what the RCA cables were for.I ordered this, it fit perfectly, and now my radio is installed without issues. The metra dash kit worked well, minus their provided harness.THIS HARNESS DID THE JOB.Although there is a blue connector that attached to my factory pioner radio that went untouched, it doesn’t seem to matter, the sound system is fully functional. I KNEW it wasn’t going to work with the JBL system. But I bought it anyways because I was doing a FULL system in my 2003 4runner and wanted it just to power the radio not the amps. I was not going to use the stock amplifiers… I bought it to see if I could at least power on the radio but the adapters did not fit any of the wires in the back. No big deal, hard wired the radio for power, ground and ‘remote’ (turns on and off with car.) then I wired all new speaker wire and new amps underneath the seats.I gave it 5 stars because its a solid wiring adapter and I am sure it works great for non JBL systems.Чтобы дать Verizon Media и нашим партнерам возможность обрабатывать ваши персональные данные, выберите Принимаю .
